PURPOSE:To aim at greatly simplifying the control system for an intake-air heating device and at reducing the cost thereof, by controlling the energization of an electrical heater for heating intake-air which is connected in parallel to a starter in a power source circuit, in accordance with the opening and closing of a starter switch. CONSTITUTION:An intake-air heating device 3 comprises an air-permeable PTC heater 6 having a grid-like structure. The PCT heater 6 is connected in parallel to a starter 11 in a power source circuit, and is selectively fed with current from a battery source 10 through a stater relay switch 12 which is closed only when the stater switch 13 is closed to energize the starter 11 and the PCT heater 6 during the period of the closing time. With this arrangement it is possible to aim at greatly simplifying the control system for the intake-air heating device and at reducing the cost thereof. |
