PURPOSE:To realize charging by optimum intake pulsation in a full operating range of an engine by providing a mechanism varying length of an intake pipe in an intake passage and measuring pressure of the intake pipe of a predetermined time, and controlling the length of the intake pipe so as to meet the object value. CONSTITUTION:A box type manifold body 7 is provided on an intake manifold 2 of an internal-combustion engine 1, and two parting plates 11, 11 extending oppositely each other with a fixed bulkhead of the center as a boundary are arranged and a gear 13 driven by a stepping motor 12 is provided in a clearance of the lower portion of both the plate 11, 11, and the gear is engaged with a rack provided on the lower end face of plates. In a control circuit 6, intake pressure at a predetermined crank angle position is obtained based on the output of a crank angle sensor 3 and an intake pressure sensor 4 in the intake manifold, and compared with a set value, and the parting plates 11 are forwarded or retired by the stepping motor 12 so as to meet the set value. Then, desired intake pulsation can be obtained and charging efficiency is improved. |
