PURPOSE:To obtain high magnetic recording and reproduction characteristics by setting the <110> direction of the 1st high-magnetic-permeability magnetic body nearly in parallel to the formation surface of a conversion gap and setting the <110> direction of the 2nd high-magnetic-permeability magnetic body at 5-85 deg.. CONSTITUTION:Core parts 29 have a <110> direction 31 present in a {110} surface set nearly parallel to the conversion gap formation surface 32 and core parts 30 have a <110> direction 33 present in a {110} surface set at a 5-85 deg. counterclockwise angle to the conversion gap surface 32. Further, a tape traveling on a magnetic head sliding surface 35 moves from the core parts 29 to the core parts 30 in a tape slide direction 36. When magnetic recording and reproduction are performed by using an allow vapor-deposited tape or alloy coated tape, this magnetic head have high magnetic recording and reproduction characteristics and VTR of high picture quality spreads. |
