PURPOSE:To prevent discharge of hydrogen sulfide into the environment and deposition of sulfur in condenser by adding oxygen to non-condensive gas from an air extractor to remove sulfur from the cooling water in after condenser output cooling water piping and to remove oxygen from the cooling water in cooling water piping. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen sulfide gas contained in the atmospheric air fed from an air extractor 8 in geothermal power plant is injected with oxidizing agent or oxygen through an oxygen injector 15 then the mixture gas is mixed with iron ion in an after condenser 9 to be converted finally into simple sulfur. Sulfur contained in the cooling water in the cooling water piping at the outlet of after condenser is removed effectively through a sulfur eliminator 16. While oxygen contained in the cooling water in cooling water piping 10 is removed through an oxygen eliminator 21 to deposit simple sulfur on a porous board in direct-contact condenser 4. |
