PURPOSE:To rationalize the replacement of originals by switching the mode of a copying machine to the manual paper supply mode and outputting a signal which operates an original carrying device and ejecting an old original in an exposure position to set a new original by this signal. CONSTITUTION:When the mode of a copying machine body 100 is switched to the manual paper supply mode and a copy paper is inserted to a manual insertion hole 32, a sensor SE2 detects it, and rolls 33 are rotated, and a photosensitive drum 1 and a scanning optical system are started simultaneously, and the copy paper is stopped between rolls 35 and is held, but the copy paper is sent into the machine again, and the normal copying process is started. Simultaneously, a switch SW is closed to operate an automatic original carrying device ADF200, and the old original on an original platen 16 is ejected onto a tray 204, and the new original is carried to a prescribed position. After the new original is copied to obtain a designated number of copies, the ADF200 ejects this original to the tray 204 and carries the next original to the prescribed position. Thus, the replacement of originals is rationalized to improve the workability. |
