PURPOSE:To eliminate or reduce wire movement when conducting current in a superconductive coil and to improve conducting performance, by adding uniformly and preliminarily to the coil a compressing force being approximately equal to a compressing electromagnetic mechanical force which may result on conducting current in the superconductive coil. CONSTITUTION:In a conductor wound section 6 which includes a superconductive conductor 2 of several tens of turns with prepreg insulator 5 being wound on a bobbin 1, there exist gaps resulting from minute curvature of the conductor or swelling of the insulator, etc. and thickness of the prepreg resin layer being treated as the insulator. The conductor wound section 6 is heat-cured while applying a compressing force onto it in the direction of the arrow or axially. At this time, the axial compressing force is larger than an electromagnetic force which may result in the superconductive coil when conducting current in the coil. Since tension is always being applied to the conductor ends of the wound section 6 when it is heat-cured while applying a compressing force axially, the slack of the conductor in the wound section 6 can be absorbed and reducing the tension can be prevented. |
