PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity, stability with lapse of time and pit shape by dispersing Te into an electric discharge-polymerized film of dialkyl tellurium. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium is obtd. by executing glow discharge in a vacuum vessel introduced therein with a gaseous monomer of, for example, dialkyl tellurium and evaporating Te on the one hand. The discharge- polymerized film of the dialkyl tellurium dispersed with amorphous Te in the discharge-polymerized film is formed on a substrate. Dimethyl tellurium and diethyl tellurium are used for the dialkyl tellurium and Te or a compd. contg. Te is used for the raw material of Te to be incorporated dispersedly into the discharge-polymerized film. The discharge-polymerized film of the dialkyl tellurium is formed by forming radical and ion seeds in the stage of the glow discharge. If Te is deposited by evaporation in the above-mentioned manner, the discharge-polymerized film of the dialkyl tellurium closes the active site of Te and contributes to the improvement in the stability with lapse of time. |
