PURPOSE:To reduce direct sound and reflective sound from a cooling fan and engine body as a sound source by providing an exhaust passage for exhausting upward the blow from a cooling fan. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust port 10 is provided in the rear on the upper face of an intermediate cover 5 between a radiator and small holes. When reduction of the noise from an engine and cooling fan is desired to be achieved, an exhaust passage H is formed in the rear of a radiator 2 by covering the small holes 6 with a flat plate 7 and closing a window 8 by means of a freely opening/ closing lid 9. Therefore, the blow from a cooling fan 3 is exhausted from the exhaust port 10 as upward flow through the exhaust passage H after passing through the radiator 2. Thereby, reduction of noise can be achieved by changing the direction of blow from the horizontal to the upward flow.
