PURPOSE:To inform whether the retrieved picture information is equal to the only information on retrieval or another piece of picture information exists, by storing the retrieval information and the information showing that another picture information corresponding to said retrieval information exists. CONSTITUTION:In a register mode the picture information on a seal print is read and the corresponding account number is supplied. Thus a table of retrieval is retrieved to check whether the same account number is already stored or not. When the same account number is registered, the information on the presence of another seal print is stored to all tables of retrieval having the same account number together with the picture information on the seal print which is registered this time. At the same time, the addresses, the account numbers and the information on the presence of another seal print are stored in the form of a new table of retrieval. In a retrieval mode the table of retrieval for the account numbers to be retrieved is retrieved. Then the picture information is read out and displayed. At the same time, it is checked whether the information on the presence of another seal print is available or not. Then the absence or presence of another seal print is displayed according to the result of said check. |
