NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R is H, benzyl, lower alkyl, or alkyl containing COOH, lower alkoxycarbonyl, or benzyloxycarbonyl at end; A is 1-imidazolyl, or 1-pyrazolyl), or its acid addition salt. EXAMPLE:2-(1-Imidazolyl)methyl-5-methoxy-4H-pyran-4-one. USE:Has inhibitory action on blood platelet aggregation, useful as a remedy for diseases of circulatory organs accompanying thrombosis formation, etc. PREPARATION:A 2-halomethyl-4H-pyran-4-on derivative shown by the formula II (R<1> is benzyl, lower alkyl, or alkyl containing lower alkoxycarbonyl, or benzyloxycarbonyl at end; X is halogen) is reacted with an alkali metal salt of imidazole or pyrazole shown by the formula A-M (M is alkali metal), to give a compound shown by the formula I (R is R<1>). |
