The apparatus is an airborne navigation system which, from two standard VOR (visual omnirange) receiver beacons, works out the route and the distance to be covered in order to rendezvous at any point not equipped with a beacon. It also supplies, in a digital form, the radials of the aircraft with respect to the stations received. It consists of a coupling card connected both to two VOR receivers and to a computer. The pilot enters the position of the objective using the keyboard and reads from the display unit the route to be followed and the remaining distance or the radials with respect to the two VORs. The apparatus is intended to be installed on board an aircraft to facilitate navigation to points not provided with radio equipment. <IMAGE>
