The multivibrator circuit comprises transistors T1 and T2, and drives a relay S which controls the current supply via current generator relay K, to flasher lamps connected to terminal 49a. The contact k closes and this connects resistors R3 and R8 in series, in the charge/discharge path of capacitor C2. In the event of lamp failure, relay K opens disconnecting resistor R8 from the charge/discharge path of capacitor C2 and thus increasing the frequency of the multivibrator.
