PURPOSE:To improve the line efficiency and line quality by controlling the transmission power upper limit to be an optimum value for IN (Intermodulation) countermeasures to a carrier number in response to the change in the traffic in a satellite communication line. CONSTITUTION:An earth station 10 is provided with a maximum transmission power setting circuit 11.An information signal relating to the carrier number corresponding to a traffic is transmitted always from a line controller 1, the transmission power upper limit value most desirable for IM countermeasures is sent to the transmission carrier number at all times to correct a control upper limit to a power control signal from a transmission power control circuit 7, and when the corrected power control signal is outputted by the circuit 11, the power control signal inputted to a variable level device 3 is subjected to correction for the control upper limit corresponding to the traffic, and when the traffic is reduced, the upper limit of the range is expanded up to the permissible power on IM coutermeasures. |
