PURPOSE:To prevent generation of plate-shaped scales in the width direction by forming a card web so as to include two types of portions periodically-ones where meshes per unit area are high viewed in the direction of advancing and the other where low-and by laminating the low mesh portions at the tab part of the fleece. CONSTITUTION:To obtain cross-wrap fleece at the tab part of low mesh a card web spun out of a doffer roll 2 at a certain mesh is stretched between said roll 2 and a draw roll 14 with its speed adjusted so as to make the card web low mesh. The timing of making low mesh is controlled by changing the revolving speed of a speed variable motor 13 through a micro-computer 18 in accordance with the output of a speed change indicating limit switches 15, 15 set so that the lower meshed webs are laminated at the tab of the fleece (turnover part in traversing). The web is folded in stack on a floor conveyer 8 through traverse conveyers 5, 6 and a can roll 7. |
