PURPOSE:To alleviate the duty of a voltage balance circuit by providing two smoothing condensers connected in series with the DC output side of a converter and connecting a DC/DC converter and a voltage balance circuit in parallel with them. CONSTITUTION:An inverter device has a converter 1, a smoothing condenser 7, an inverter unit 3, and its controller 5 to drive an AC motor 4. In this case, the condenser 7 is formed of capacitors 7a, 7d of the same capacity connected in series, and DC/DC converters 8a, 8b are connected in parallel with the capacitors. Further, dummy resistors 9a, 9b are connected in parallel with the capacitors 7a, 7b to form a voltage balance circuit 9. The charging voltages of the capacitors 7a, 7b are the prescribed DC voltages of the converters 8a, 8b, and supplied as a control power to the controller 5, thereby eliminating the voltage unbalance of the condensers 7a, 7b. |
