A cylindrical sleeve (10) for a pulley has a radially inwardly extending integral tab (14) at one end, the tap having an aperture (15). An aperture (16) is defined at the other end of the sleeve (10). The two apertures (15, 16) are aligned and form an eccentric bore. The aperture (15) in the tab (14) is smaller than the aperture (16) at the other end of the sleeve (10). In the production of the sleeve (10), the tab (14) is bent to extend radially inwardly and the aperture (15) in the tab is produced by using a punch guided by the aperture (16) at the other end of the sleeve so that the apertures (15, 16) are exactly aligned.
