The subject of the present invention is a waterproofing material consisting of a strengthening structure within a bituminous composition, characterised in that it comprises, on at least one of its edges, in the direction of its largest dimension, at least one roving of carbon fibres. The strengthening structure is a reinforcement made of mineral or organic fibres.
