The apparatus for preparing samples comprises a box 101 inside which a plate 104 is mounted, by virtue of hinges, so as to oscillate, which plate is actuated by a cam 105 driven by a stepper motor 106. A circular turntable 107 is mounted in rotation on this plate 104, and is driven by a motor 109. The box 101 is closed by a lid 102 on which a metering needle 112 is mounted and allows reactants to be injected inside reaction cells of a sample holder 108 which is mounted on the turntable 107. The invention applies in particular to carrying out biochemical analyses. <IMAGE>
