New processes and compositions for slowing down hair regrowth after depilation

The invention relates to a new cosmetic process enabling hair regrowth to be slowed down after a depilation carried out by conventional means. The process makes use of compositions containing as active principle a substance called epidermal growth factor (EGF), in topical applications, the substance being incorporated in an appropriate vehicle. The doses of EGF according to the invention lie between 0.1 mg and 10 mg of pure EGF per 100 g of ready-to-use product.
