The invention relates to a bracket whose end is worked on one side as a ring of a diameter of 5 cm. The bracket is attached to the air pump, the ring protruding from the air pump at 90 DEG . As a result, it is possible to secure the bicycle and the air pump simultaneously with any type of chain or steel cable lock by pulling the lock through the ring. In contrast with all other bicycle components which can only be removed with a tool, the air pump needs to be simply removed from the holder. The air pump locks which are available at the moment can be overcome without tools and, due to their technical complexity, are so expensive that they are twice as expensive as the air pump. The annular bracket is secure, very easy to mount and, due to the simple technology, cheap to produce. The annular bracket thus offers the same protection against theft as that of all other bicycle components. The bracket can be mounted on any air pump or provided integrally on the air pump directly by the manufacturer of the air pump.
