<p>This invention relates to equipment for horses, and more particularly to a composite fitting for a horse's hoof, comprising: -a horseshoe (1) made of light, cold-forgeable material and presenting on its outer face bosses (7) at the centre of which are made holes (8) passing through the shoe for the passage of nails, -and a layer (14) of wear and shock-absorbing material overmoulded on the outer face (6) over a thickness substantially equal to the height of the bosses (7) that it covers.
