Motor-driven manual spraying device for processing plastic compositions, in which the rigid piston rod is replaced by at least one multi-part telescopic threaded spindle. The first threaded sleeve with the largest diameter is disposed in the drive housing and is axially fixed there and driven in a reversible manner. When the piston is in the retracted position, all threaded spindle parts are telescoped within one another within the driven threaded sleeve. The piston or the last threaded spindle part fastened on the piston is secured over the piston path against corotation, specifically by a plastic-covered wire cable which is connected to the threaded spindle at the piston side and subjected to a deflection outside the telescopic threaded spindle.
