PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process of an FRP leaf spring device and to enhance the strength and flexure thereof, by securing an FRP leaf spring formed in its one end section with an eye member, at its the other end, unmovably to a vehicle body while the eye member is movably supported to the vehicle body by means of a shackle or the like. CONSTITUTION:A leaf spring device 11 is composed of an FRP leaf spring 12 formed in its only one end part with an eye member 13 which is attached to a shackle 30 by means of a pin 29 while shackle 30 is attached to a vehicle body 10 such that the leaf spring device 11 is made movable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 10. Further the other end 12a of the leaf spring 12 are secured unmovably to the vehicle body 10 by means of a spacer 24, a washer 25, a bolt, etc. With this arrangement, since FRP has a large elongation epsilon in comparison with steel, and therefore, the flexure of the leaf spring device having one end secured and the other end made free may be taken to be large. |
