The invention relates to a pan lid with a steam-venting device for saucepans or the like, which is constructed as a lid handle and is mounted on the lid wall by means of fastening elements so as to be fixed in terms of rotation and has an actuating member for moving a blocking member into an open position or closed position. For ease of handling and reliable operation with a structurally simple design, it is provided according to the invention that the actuating member is constructed as a linear slide which, in the closed position, presses the blocking member sealingly onto a vent opening in the lid wall and, in the opened position, frees the blocking member from this sealed position into a venting position.
