The invention relates to a cabinet which consists of a combination of a plurality of cabinet carcasses SK n. Said cabinet carcasses SK n have dimensions which decrease from one cabinet carcass to the next. The cabinet carcass which is the next larger in each case in the series of the combination can receive the next smaller one inside it. The next smaller one is attached to the next larger one and can close the latter like a cabinet door ST. In this manner, nesting of cabinet carcasses SK n is produced, any desired cabinet being accessible independently of the others. The smallest cabinet carcass SK3 is closed off by a cabinet door ST which is known per se. This cabinet can be used as an independent item of furniture or as fitted furniture. <IMAGE>
