Rain-gutter covering for preventing soiling of the gutter by leaves and blossoms, etc. The gutter covering is designed such that it can be mounted, without particular complexity or expenditure, on commercially available rain gutter, to be precise by clamping on the front gutter bead. This is intended to prevent leaves and the like from accumulating in front of the inlet screens and thus blocking the gutter. The leaves lying on the covering, comprising a grate or grid, can dry quickly and be blown away by the wind. As a result, the high costs which have to be expended by property management for cleaning gutters can be cut down. It is thus ensured that the investment quickly pays for itself.
