Components which are mounted outside a housing, for example on its rear side, and have live parts, such as for example their connecting wires, which are not insulated must be protected against being touched accidentally. The covers which are used in this case are mounted on the housing and are thus linked to its structure. The invention makes possible an improvement in that a cap (2), which is to be placed directly on the component (1) and is self-anchoring thereon, encloses the component (1) at the top and on the sides, and clamping elements (3, 7) of the cap (2) engage on the component (1) so that said cap (2) cannot be detached inadvertently. <IMAGE>
