PURPOSE:To obtain compact structure by sliding a printing head along recording paper with an operation lever, detecting the moving position of the printing head and outputting a timing signal, and generating print data on the basis of the timing signal. CONSTITUTION:A printer part moves the printing head 9 along the recording paper 8 loaded in a holder 7 by sliding the operation lever 6, and also detects the moving position of the printing head 9 through a detector 10; and a control circuit supplies print data to the printing head 9 on the basis of the timing signal outputted from the printing head 9, which prints the data. In this case, the control circuit when inputting a signal from a changover switch and the timing signal from the detector 10 allows a character generator to generate print data. Thus, the power consumption is reduced and the structure is simplified and made compact. |
