PURPOSE:To display an image formation range on an original platen and prevent the device from increasing in size by providing a means which displays the image formation range according to set magnification and a means which moves a scanning means and an optical means in specific order. CONSTITUTION:Indication bodies 161 and 162 are moved to the reverse surface of the original platen 2 along a positioning members 61 perpendicular to a scanning direction according to set copy magnification and paper size, and a scale 62 fitted to a carriage 411 which supports an exposure lamp 4 is moved in the scanning direction to display a range corresponding to a copy range calculated from the breadthwise and lengthwise lengths of a paper and the copy magnification on the original platen 2, preventing a miss of copying. When an enlargement mode is changed into a reduction mode, the carriage 411 is driven after a lens in driven, and when the reduction mode is changed into the enlargement mode driving order is vice versa to prevent a collision between the mirror and lens, and no extra space is required during this movement, thereby preventing an increase in the size of the device. |
