PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily prepare a thick thermal recording sheet excellent in dimensional stability with high efficiency while eliminating the generation of background fog or the generation of winkles due to moisture at the time of bonding in a thermal recording layer, by performing the thermal fusion bonding of a thermal recording sheet and the other sheet by using a binder comprising a thermoplastic polymer with a softening point of 180 deg.C or less. CONSTITUTION:As a bonding sheet, paper, cellophane or nonwoven paper is used. In order to bond one or more of said sheet to a thermal recording sheet, a thermoplastic polymer with a softening point of 180 deg.C or less is used as a binder. In order to bond the other sheet to thermal transfer sheet, the binder is thermally melted and coated at the time of bonding and the coating amount thereof is about 3-100g/m<2> on the basis of a dry wt. The melting of this binder under heating is performed at the time of press bonding or before and after press bonding by steam, electric heating or an electromagnetic wave such as laser. By this method, a high quality thick sheet free from wrinkles or background fog is easily obtained as the thermal recording sheet with high efficiency. |
