Sulphonamide cpds. of the formula (I) are new. R1 = 1-6C alkyl, 3-6C alkenyl, 3-6C alkynyl or 6-10C aryl opt. substd. by up to 3 halogen atoms; R2 = 1-6C alkyl, 3-6C alkenyl, 3-6C alkynyl or 6-10C aryl opt. substd. by up to 3 halogen atoms or up to three 1-6C alkoxy gps.; R3 = 1-3C alkyl substd. by 3 to 6 halogen atoms or trihalovinyl. - Specifically claimed (I) (6) include N-methyl N- (1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethyl sulphenyl) 2-(methylsulphonyl)-ethanesulpho namide.
