A wheel turns freely on an axis beneath the edge of the disk. A fixed electric motor, with its drive spindle in the same plate as that of the free wheel, rotates an intermediate rubber wheel. The rubber wheel acts against the upper edge of the flexible disc, above the free wheel. - The disc is ce"tred on a spindle which may be fixed, or rotating. A spring holds the drive wheel mechanism against the reaction force as it rotates the disc.
