PURPOSE:To prevent an offset and stabilize paper feeding by pressing wicks provided at both end sides of a wick support against both sides of the paper passage part of the fuser roll at need, and removing toner accumulated at the position. CONSTITUTION:The wicks 4 and 4' are normally separated from the surface of the fuser roll 3 and a motor 11 is operated automatically through a controller 14 when a specific quantities of copies are taken. Consequently, cams 8 and 8' operate through the rotation of a shaft 9 driven by the motor to raise the wick support 5 and clean periodically both sides of the paper passage part of the fuser roll 3 corresponding to paper of maximum size, so no toner is deposited. Therefore, the offset is prevented and paper feeding is performed stably. |
