PARALLEL PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To support a random transfer pattern and a same transfer pattern at high speed by providing a control register holding a transfer pattern formation and a circuit for carrying out a change-over between the transfer patterns in a processor element (PE). CONSTITUTION:In a PE2, a control register 21 holding a transfer pattern formation of a same transfer pattern or a random transfer pattern and a selector 20 for carrying out the change-over between both the patterns are provided. In the case when the transfer between the PE is the respective PE same pattern, the respective PE2 directly transfers the transfer data to the selector 20 through a register 19. While, in the case of the random transfer pattern, a processor 18-2 in a transfer section 6 produces a packet for transferring the random transfer pattern based on an information from a processor 18-1.
