A pulley assembly comprises a carrier body 10 and a pulley body 11 mounted on and for rotation with respect to the carrier body 10 by a bearing 12. The carrier body 10 has at one end a radially outwardly extending portion 18 and an axial spacing member 21 is mounted on the other end. The bearing 12 has a ring 13 supported by the carrier body 10 and positioned axially between the radially outwardly extending portion 18 and the spacing member 21. In order to allow the wall of the carrier body to be made thin, the bearing ring 13 is a sliding fit on the carrier body 10, the radially outwardly extending portion of the carrier body is a plain flange 18, and a mounting washer 20 is disposed such that the flange 18 is positioned axially between the bearing ring 13 and the washer 20. <IMAGE> |
