<p>A process for the production of (i) an alkylene carbonate, or (ii) a glycol ether ester, or (iii) a glycol ether by reacting an epoxide with either (i) carbon dioxide, or (ii) an ester of a carboxylic acid or (iii) an alcohol under appropriate reaction conditions in the presence of a catalyst characterised in that the catalyst is [bis(trihydrocarbylphosphine)iminium]MO4 wherein M is either molybdenum or tungsten.</p> |
