The process consists of raising the nap of the weft threads in the weft face of the fabric equally and homogeneously, immersing, this napped face in acrylic resin to flatten the raised pile and leave the fabric more or less plasticised, and subjecting this face to embossing by pressing at 200-300 deg. C to provide an appearance which initiates leather.
