<p>This basket or bin is in the form of a column with a base 2, 3 and an upper part 9, 11, which are preferably cylindrical, and a prismatic intermediate part 4. It may be placed freestanding or be fastened to the ground via the base 3. One of the lateral faces of the intermediate part 4 forms a door 5 behind which is located a container 7 mounted in a tilting manner for emptying. The papers and other refuse are inserted at the top via lateral openings 10. The column may serve, at the same time, as an advertising support and its hollow top 11 may contain a plant or flowers.
