PURPOSE:To prevent toner, paper powder, deteriorating matter, etc., from sticking on a surface and obtain good picture quality for a long period by adding resin which has inferior compatibility with principal binder resin to a charge transfer layer and obtaining an irregular layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer are laminated on a conductive base in order and the charge transfer layer is made into the irregular layer (island structure) by incorporating the resin which has inferior compatibility with its principal binder resin. Long diameters of incompatible resin parts (island) 2 in the principal resin part (sea) 1 are set to about 0.1-10mum. This formed charge transfer layer has an irregular surface of decreases in coefficient of friction and increase in angle of contacting with water. Consequently, toner, paper powder, and deteriorating matter becomes hard to stick and the sticking of a water absorbing material is prevented. Even when this is used repeatedly to wear, a new irregular surface appears and the effect is maintained, thereby obtaining an excellent image for a long period. |
