Free-flowing particulate fabric-softening adjunct for use in laundry detergent compsns. comprises NaBO3.H2O2 (I) on which is absorbed 5-100 % of its wt. of a fabric softening agent (II). (II) is an organic prim., sec., tert., or quat. N cpd. or phosphonium or sulphonium cpd. which has at least one 6-22C hydrocarbon gp. conferring hydrophobicity and lubricity. - Pref. adjunct contains 50-85 % by wt. of (I) and 50-15 % by wt. of (II). (I) pref. has average particle dia. 350-450 microns.
