<p>Vee belts arranged in parallel are driven round end drums, one drive, and over grooved rollers and smooth idlers between the drums. Cover sheet between the strands keeps water off the bottom strand. Tensioner roller on weighted linkage is pressed against the lower strand to keep it taut. Sprays can be fitted above or below the upper strand so that the unit can work as immersion or jet washer. Water is completely removed without the beets being damaged. Spare belts are carried on hooks on the sides, having been passed over the drum axles for immediate replacement of broken belts.</p> |
