The oscillating and/or sound reflecting solid body is intended for an instrument e.g. violin, equipment or installation which generates, radiates, distributes and/or propagates sound. It is provided with contours (G,G1 etc) producing an ordered spatial distribution of its oscillation parameters. - These consist of at least two superimposed regular sequences (R, R1-3 etc) of regions with increased or reduced rigidity, mass, damping, surface curvature and/or reflectivity or absorption.
