PURPOSE:To adapt a circuit to the high-speed processing operation to extend the life of a battery by providing a clock control timer of hardware and making this timer programmable. CONSTITUTION:A CPU11 of this battery life extending circuit executes the control operation with data from an input part 12 such as a keyboard or the like, and the timing control in this case is performed in accordance with timing data inputted to a clock control circuit 13. The clock control circuit 13 has a time internally, and timing data is generated by this timer and instruction data or the like from the CPU11 and is outputted. The clock control circuit 13 is programmable, and the cycle or the like is set by the CPU11. Memories 14 and interfaces 15 (15a-15c) are connected to the CPU11, and interfaces 15 output an interrupt signal INT to the CPU11 and the clock control circuit 13. Thus, the life of the battery is extended because the battery is restored at the stop time though the processing time is extended at the clock control time. |
