PURPOSE:To improve the processing capability by providing an adaptor to a terminal equipment and allowing said adaptor to respond to the invitation of information transmission of a host computer in response to the operating state of a terminal equipment main body. CONSTITUTION:The adaptor 4 connected to a POS terminal main body 10 is connected to a host computer 1 of the POS system via MODEMs 2,3, the computer 1 addressed the main body 10 to apply start control to information transmission with the main body 10 thereby transmitting information in two-way. An input/output converter 6 connected to the MODEM 3, a bus driver 7 connected to the main body 10 and a signal driver 8 are connected respectively to a processor 5 of the adaptor 4. Then the adaptor 4 responds to the invitation of information transmission of computer 1 in response to the operating state of the main body 10 so as to relieve the load of the main body 10 to the response thereby improving the processing capability of the system. |
