METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF POLYESTER FIBER FOR RUBBER-ARMATURE

Polyester fibers for rubber reinforcement are produced by treating the surface fo the polyester fibers with a treating agent contg. an epoxy compd. having more than two epoxy radicals and a polyethylene compd. having an acidity of 10-30; then heat-treating the fibers at 80-250≦̸C. The concentration of epoxy compd. in the treating agent is 10-50% (based on the treating soln.), and the addn. amt. of polyethylene compd. is 1-30 wt.% (based on epoxy compd.).
