A closure comprises a flexible water-resistant sheet (10) with closure members on opposing edges which can be released from each other without damage to permit re-use. Seals on the inside surface of the sheet ends provide an environmental seal between sheet and substrate (7) and are of material with a cone penetration value of (100-350).10 power -1 mm and an ultimate elongation of at least 200%. - The seals may be of sealing material impregnated in an open-cell foam matrix, and are pref. bonded to the sheet by neoprene contact adhesive in hydrocarbon solvents. The closure may include a resilient plastic ring (4) located to hold the closure away from the substrate when it is opened for work on the substrate. The closure members are e.g. of hook and loop pile strip or form a sliding clasp fastener. |
