PURPOSE:To manufacturing method of a high temperature object-conveying roller shrinkage-fitted with a heat resisting steel sleeve to its rotary supporting shaft, in which a place in the vicinity of a central part of the sleeve is heated by conveyance of a high temperature object to higher temperature than end side parts and a crack is not circumferentially caused in said place. CONSTITUTION:A rotary supporting shaft 10, provided with shaft mounting parts in its both sides further with a water cooling hole 10a in its center part, is formed to such an intermediately expanded state that the initial outside diameter of D2 at cold time is slightly larger toward the central side than an outside diameter D1 of the both end sides. A heat resisting steel sleeve 11, shrinkage-fitted to said rotary supporting shaft 10, is formed to such cylindrical shape that its initial inside diameter at cold time is slightly smaller than the minimum diameter D1 of the before described supporting shaft 10 with a diameter d1 almost equal throughout its total length further with thickness of (t) almost equal throughout the total length, then the sleeve 11 and the rotary supporting shaft 10 are shrinkage fitted. After completion of shrinkage fit, both ends of a roller 2 are welded by knock pins 13. |
