Disazo dyes - for polyesters, polyamides and esp cellulose acetates

The dyes are of formula: (in which R is 1-4 C alkyl), and are prepd. by coupling diazotised p-aminoazobenzene with N-beta-cyanethyl N-beta-alkoxy-ethylanilines. The dyes are orange-red in colour and have esp. on cellulose 21/2 acetate, excellent fastness to e.g. water and light.
