Tube butt welding - by torch on rotatable faceplate with axial adjustment

Non-rotatable tubes can be butt welded by a welding torch, fixed to a faceplate which can revolve on a guide ring attached to one tube end. The attachment consists of two clamps on shears which are pressed against the wall of one tube. The housing carrying the guide ring is supported on sliding rods in the attachment so that an axial adjustment is possible. This is done by a bolt operating a bell crank lever or another type of linkage.
