PURPOSE:To position the center of a recording track to the rotational center of a disk driving section so as to reduce the eccentricity of the recording track, by detecting the eccentricity of the recording track from the track traversing signal of a photodetector and positioning the center of the recording track to a center adaptor moving line, and then, moving a center adaptor. CONSTITUTION:Since the center 2' of a recording track does not coincide with the rotational center 10' of a disk driving section 10 when the section 10 holds a disk 1, a photodetector 45 generates a recording track eccentricity corresponding to the rotational frequency of the disk when the disk 1 is rotationally driven. The photodetector 45 detects the eccentricity as a track traversing signal and positions the recording track center 2' to a center adaptor moving line by slipping the disk 1 by using the detecting signal, and then, makes the recording track center 2' to coincide with the rotational center 10' by moving a center adaptor 13 by means of a driving mechanism 35. Therefore, a recording track eccentricity is suppressed to a level below a prescribed value. |
